Abstract
Maintaining the health of the body needs to be done, because with a healthy body someone can do many activities. If someone does not maintain the health of his body, various diseases will easily approach, which will then require a large cost to heal. In order to prevent this, during free time someone can do more physical activity, and eats foods and drinks that are good for his body. For the elderly, physical activity does need to be done but with a smaller portion compared to adults. For example in the treatment of drugs for the elderly who experience stroke, kidney, and hypertension require medication with serious treatment. When the medicine consume is not properly scheduled, the risk of returning the disease can occur. Therefore, in an effort to handle the risk of taking drugs tardily, a reminder system for taking medication is needed. This study uses the bluetoothHC05 module as the recipient of data to be sent from Android, the Arduino microcontroller as a device controller, the buzzer as an alarm, and the LED as a marker of which drugs to drink. The results of making this medication reminder system are placed in a mini cabinet rack. Schedule to take medication that has been given from a doctor can be input through the android application, after the schedule is set then the application will save the results of the input and then send it to Arduino. If the drinking time has arrived, the buzzer will beep long, the LED will live in accordance with the prescribed drug, and the LCD will display the name of the medicine and the drinking time, between before meals or after meals, and to deactivate the buzzer using pushbutton.
