Abstract

Water quality is the main parameter in life, both for consumption and for agriculture and fisheries. One of them is mina padi, which utilizes a pool of paddy water that is being planted with rice as a pond for fish cultivation that maximizes the yield of paddy soil. Mina padi thus increases land efficiency because one land becomes a means for the cultivation of two agricultural and fisheries commodities. Water quality is very influential on mina padi. Water with too high acidity (pH) is too acidic or basic. It can cause health problems for those who use the water as well as to rice plants and fish. The level of turbidity of the water can also affect the level of water quality. When the water does not match the turbidity level, that is too turbid, it will affect the fertility of rice and fish health. This research aims to design a tool that can monitor water quality for rice plants and fish by identifying the pH level and the cleanliness of the water. In the device there are 2 sensors including a pH probes PH-4502C sensor and a turbidity sensor SKU SEN0189 that can provide signal conditions or data from the sensor into the Arduino Uno R3 microcontroller and will then be displayed in a mobile application with the name of the Blynk application through the Sim900a module.
