Abstract
Academic Information System is a system that can provide information services in the form of academic data. The existence of this academic information system is very important to support the management of academic data. The process of managing academic data at SMP N 2 Gantiwarno is currently still carried out manually by using paper notes and has not been computerized. Managing data manually still raises several problems felt by the teachers in SMP N 2 Gantiwarno. These problems include difficulties, the possibility of data loss and errors on the collection and management of student data, attendance data, assessment data, subject data and scheduling data. A solution to solve these problems is to implement a website-based academic information system at SMP N 2 Gantiwarno. The existence of the academic information system at SMP N 2 Gantiwarno is expected to provide convenience, flexibility and make academic data management more structured, especially in the process of managing assessment data and scheduling subjects. The purpose of this study is to analyze, design and implement a website-based academic information system at SMP N 2 Gantiwarno which in data storage locations still uses irregular paper records into a data collection file that is stored regularly in a database. The method used is data collection method by means of observation, interviews and literature studies to identify problems in the management of academic data in SMP N 2 Gantiwarno based on field analysis. Software used in building the system including MySQL as a Database Management System (DBMS) which is used as a data storage medium as well as PHP, CSS, JavaScript and HTML as a programming language. Based on the results of the research, it can be compiled an analysis, design and product in the form of computerized website-based academic information system application that can be implemented to manage academic data in SMP N 2 Gantiwarno.
