Abstract
Muhammadiyah Mlati Vocational School is an institution engaged in the field of education that has been established since 1977. It is located on Kaliurang street km 6.5, mlati sub-district, Sleman district, Yogyakarta special area. The process of accepting new students at Muhammadiyah Mlati Vocational School is still done in a conventional way. The student candidates who want to register are required to come directly to the school to fill out forms and bring necessary documents as registration requirements. The system can not be done effectively and efficiently. To overcome the problems that occur in the registration of new students at Muhammadiyah Mlati Vocational High School, design and construction of a new web-based Prospective Student Admissions Information System was made. The methods used in collecting research data were observation, interviews, and literature study. While the system design used the waterfall method combined with several cdrum technique, testing methods used white boxes and black box testing, and implementing program code used PHP programming language with MySQL database management system. The final result of this study was in the form of a web-based new student admission information system that is expected to provide convenience in the implementation of new student admission activities at the Muhammadiyah Mlati Vocational School.
