Abstract
STIA Madani is a high school of administrative sciences under the auspices of the Insan Bhakti Klaten Foundation located on Jl. Jogja-Solo, Pilangsari, Gondang, Kebonarum, Klaten, Central Java. The learning system at STIA Madani currently still uses conventional learning methods with teaching centered on lecturers, where the process of teaching and learning activities in terms of the delivery of material can only be done with the condition that there is a meeting between students and lecturers in the classroom. The purpose of this research is to build an e-learning system as a learning media and web-based communication that provides information to related parties. The method used in conducting research to obtain data was observation method where the authors conduct research directly to STIA Madani Klaten. Then, the interview method was conducted by making direct dialogues to several informants to obtain data. Literature Study was conducted by looking for information or references to complete the data. In the system design stage, this research used a description of Entity Relational Database (ERD) and Data Flow Diagrams (DFD), while the implementation phase of an e-learning system used the PHP programming language and MySQL database. The results of the research are an analysis and a media that can facilitate communication between lecturers and students for giving materials, conducting online quizzes, giving and collecting assignments by simply accessing the website. Hence, teaching and learning activities are more effective even though the activities are carried out outside of school. Keywords: e-learning, learning methods, STIA Madani.
