Abstract
Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Klaten is a High School (SMA) located in Klaten, Central Java. It is one of the schools in which learning is still using conventional methods, which can only be done by conducting direct meetings of students and teachers in class. If the meeting do not occur or the teacher is absent then automatically the learning process will be hampered. This school has not optimized the benefits of the internet to support teaching and learning activities carried out outside of school. Various new concepts in the teaching process have been developed to replace traditional or manual methods that only rely on one-way learning methods in the classroom. One of the technologies developed at this time is e-learning information systems. E-learning can help teachers to distribute their teaching materials without having to be in class and also maximize the time of teaching and learning activities by using internet services that are intended to provide effective learning for students. The system to be built is an e-learning information system which is expected to help the process of teaching and learning activities in SMA MAN 1 Klaten to become more optimal. This method makes teachers easy to deliver subject matter, give online quizzes, and give online assignments to students to download the material. Hence the students can study anywhere and anytime. Students can collect assignments, practice questions and quizzes online. Students can see the results of the study through the telegram application. This information system is developed by using methods of observation, data collection, design data analysis and design. This information system is created by using the programming language PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and MYSQL as a database to store data.
