Abstract

Global warming affects the comfort of living creatures including humans. Discomfort feeling at home relates to hot environmental conditions. Taking a rest and relaxing at home requires a cool environment. People and activities in the room make the temperature of the air inside the room increase. The heat generated by lights or other electronic devices produces more heat in the room. To overcome these uncomfortable conditions, air conditioning is applied based on the needs and conditions of the room. Therefore, the effort of controling the temperature of the room is in line with the needs of the room. Automatic room temperature control is possibly applied with the Fuzzy Sugeno logic method. This research shows how to control room temperature by regulating fan automation. By using the DHT-11 temperature and humidity sensor to read and send data to the microcontroller, the room temperature and humidity figure will be obtained. Then the microcontroller will order the DC Mosfet IRF5305S Switch to adjust the rotation speed of the fan. The result of this system is that it can maintain a room temperature range of 25-30 ° C and it is able to reduce high temperatures from 34 ° C to 30 ° C in less than 5 minutes.
