Abstract
Calculation of visitors in the mini market or supermarket is very influential in determining the prospects of a branch. In the calculation it still uses infrared sensors or motion sensors where if the object moves a little further then the sensor cannot capture the object and results in a less optimum calculation. Therefore, digital images can improve the quality of visitor detection and counting at a mini market and supermarket. In this study the Gaussian Blur method is applied as a noise reduction from an image where an image will be blurred so that the image quality can be better and can be processed further, the frame difference method functions as the detection of objects in a video frame where the initial frame as a background will be compared with real-time frame as a foreground which will then get an object, and the intersection function as a count of objects passing on a line. Based on the results of testing, the object detection system is able to detect objects well with contour lines. Testing of the objects calculation with intersection lines has worst counting objects accuracy. Kata kunci : Digital image, object detection, object counters, frames
