Basically the processing of rebon shrimp is in the form of making shrimp paste. Shrimp paste is one of the preservation products made from rebon shrimp or anchovies that have been fermented, pounding and drying which lasts for ± 20 days. The problem is that drying is not optimal because it uses human resources who still use manual process to dry shrimp paste under the sun. Then this automatic drying tool was created to facilitate shrimp paste entrepreneurs to save time. While the shrimp paste entrepreneur monitors the shrimp paste that is being dried. Therefore an automatic drying tool is created with monitoring is carried out through the internet using Internet of Things technology to ease the shrimp paste entrepreneurs and to optimize the time. The development of technology has a great influence on the automation control system at this time, especially in the field of business. Hence this research aims to build a design of automatic shrimp paste drying equipment with monitoring using the Internet of Things. Automation in the current era is needed to control any device in business sector, especially in processing shrimp paste and monitoring utilizing Internet of Things technology. The result of this study is an experiment to run dryer space using 3 sensors that have been applied to the shrimp paste dryer. The LDR sensor has a sensor reading value 1 with the ON condition if the Raindrop Sensor is not exposed to water so it can move the DC Motor out. Vice versa, if the Raindrop Sensor is exposed to water then the LDR sensor will have a sensor reading value of 0 in OFF condition, it will move the DC Motor in. The DHT11 sensor is only supporting component in order to know the temperature at the dryer. After testing the dryer that is driven by the motor DC, the shrimp paste dryer that has been designed can move out and in automatically or manually according to the LDR Sensor, Raindrop Sensor and commands on the smartphone application.
