Abstract

Noise is a disturbance that can affect comfort and health, especially those originating from operational activities of factory equipment. Operators or employees who operate factory equipment along with residents around the factory are the affected environmental components due to increased noise. In this thesis the author discusses "Design of IoT-Based (Internet of Things)Noise Level Monitoring Systems ". This tool serves to detect the sound source in general and display it on the Mobile Application with the noise status in the room along with the sound value obtained from the sound sensor on the device. The making of this sound level measuring instrument uses NodeMCU ESP8266, LED module, and MIC sound sensor as a sound detection sensor. This sound sensor will detect general sound whose noise level limits can vary according to the noise threshold value specified on the device. The sound source that enters through the sound sensor is changed from the ADC and then sent to Firebase as the Realtime Database used and will be accessed by the Mobile Application for realtime monitoring of the application. And if the sound reaches the noise threshold, the LED module lights up and the mobile application shows the status of the room which is not conducive accompanied by the incoming dB value.
