Abstract

Kaligesing is a sub-district in the Purworejo region, Central Java. In Kaligesing Subdistrict there are villages that have tourism objects. The tourist categories that become the choice are such as waterfall tourism, cave tourism, cultural tourism, and so on. The local government and youth who care about Kaligesing have promoted existing tourism objects, but all of them are still felt unsatisfactory because there are still many neighboring villagers who do not know the tourism object for certain. Therefore, through the design of the information system implementation of tourism objects in the Kaligesing area, it is expected to be able to display data about existing tourism objects with a view that is more attractive and easily understood by the public. This study aims to create a tourism information system that will increase publications on tourism objects in Kaligesing District and make it easier for visitors to get the tourist information sought. The research method used is the waterfall method. The design of this tourist information system consists of a data flow diagram, entity relationship diagram and interface design. For the design of this program using HTML, PHP, Java Script and MySQL. With a website, information about tourism objects can spread more broadly. The result of this study is the existence of a web-based tourist information system that can be used as a medium to deliver information, especially around attractions in Kaligesing District so that it can facilitate visitors to get information.
