Abstract
This research is motivated by cooperatives who have difficulty in determining whether the prospective customer is worthy of being trusted in making loans. In this design, the authors use Data Mining and C4.5 Algorithms as a selection method. Several criteria are used, namely financing requirements, work, number of family dependents, the amount of financing proposed, discipline, time period, collateral / collateral, income / month, residence status. The prospective customer selection system uses php and mysql based programming languages as a database. The results obtained from the entropy value and the gain value, where the largest gain value makes reference to node 1 to form a decision tree and the value of both also serves to form the next decision tree. With this system the determination of eligible customers to provide loans to the Artha Sejati Cooperative Kroya Branch can be done more quickly by determining the income of each customer and also the loan amount proposed along with how long the credit period is proposed. Creditworthiness assessments conducted by cooperatives still use manual methods and databases used are still in paper form, and the biggest obstacle is the difficulty in storing or searching records. The classification results using the C4.5 Algorithm with a sample of 150 customer data indicate that an accuracy of 90.91% is obtained. Based on the results obtained, it shows that the c4.5 algorithm is suitable to determine the creditworthiness of customers at the Artha Sejati Cooperative in Kroya Branch.
