Abstract
In this era of globalization, the role of information technology is needed to convey and provide asset mapping information in the form of land and buildings. Geographic Information System (GIS) is a computer-based information system, which is designed to work using data that has spatial information (spatial reference). This system is in charge of capturing, checking, integrating. manipulate, analyze, and display data spatially referring to the condition of the earth. PT. Kereta Api Indonesia DAOP 6 Yogyakarta has many assets in the form of land and buildings, besides that, there are still assets that are not yet certified. Therefore, this study will design a web-based geographical information system for mapping the assets of PT. KeretaApi Indonesia DAOP 6 Yogyakarta. Presentation of information in web form will make it easier to access. The design of the map displayed in this system uses the Google Maps API, the software used in building this application is PHP (Pear Hypertext Prepocessor) as a programming language, and MySQL as a database server. The information presented on this website includes cross information, emplacement, building names, villages, sub-districts, and cities / districts.
