Abstract
The ability to predict sales of pharmaceutical goods, in this case are drugs, is one of the priorities to improve the service and profit of a pharmacy. At this time, Margo Saras's pharmacy has not implemented a method to predict drug sales in the future, as a result, there are some drugs which have excess stocks and some other drugs have shortages. Pharmacy benefits can not be maximized due to ineffective planning of income and expenses. The author tries to conduct research with the aim of designing and building an application to predict drug sales at the Margo Saras Pharmacy in the future, using a single moving average method of 2 and 5 periods, and a single exponential smoothing method with 0.2 and 0.8 alpha values. This research produces a system that can apply the single moving average and single exponential smoothing forecasting methods to predict the number of drug sales in the next period by using drug sales data in the previous period.
