Abstract
Employee recruitment is important for companies to get new employees in occupying a position. In some companies the process of recruiting new employees has not been conducted professionally. This is because there is no sistemathic standard method to assess applicant worthiness. Application development on new employee recruitment system are built using Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method or more commonly know as the weighting sum method. This method was chosen because it can determine the weight value for each attribute, then proceed with ranking process which will select the best alternative from a number of alternatives. In this case, the intended alternative is the right person accepted as a new employee based on the specified criteria. Based on test results, the system built is expected to be able to help personnel management in providing an assessment of prospective new employees quickly and accurately in making decisions to determine new employees at KSM company. In building this application the author uses the PHP programming language and MySQL as a database. Keywords: Recruitment, Simple Additive Weighting
