Abstract
ABSTRAK Kabupaten Bengkulu Selatan merupakan salah satu bagian dari Provinsi Bengkulu, Kota Manna menjadi pusat pemerintahan di Kabupaten Bengkulu Selatan, di kota Manna terdapat Sirkuit padang Panjang Kota Manna yang merupakan satu-satunya sirkuit Permanent yang ada di Provinsi Bengkulu, Sehingga potensi untuk mengembangkan sirkuit ini sangatlah besar, Dengan didukung seringnya terjadi event besar dalam ajang balap motor khususnya road race. Hampir setiap tahun selalu dilakukan event besar balap region nasional maupun daerah yang di selenggarakan di sirkuit Permanent kota Manna oleh IMI daerah maupun pusat. Permasalahannya terdapat pada fasilitas sirkuit yang belum memadai untuk menampung setiap kegiatan ajang balap motor road race, sehingga balapan tidak berjalan maksimal. Pengembangan sirkuit balap motor sebagai salah satu solusi untuk menunjang kegiatan balap motor, agar kegiatan bisa berjalan dengan baik, serta menjadikan kota Manna sebagai pusat kegiatan otomotif yang ada di Provinsi Bengkulu, Sirkuit ini juga diharapkan dapat mengurangi terjadinya kegiatan balap liar di jalanan yang sudah marak terjadi di kota Manna. Penerapan konsep desain sirkuit “dengan Transformasi Karakter pembalap kedalam wujud visual bangunan” sebagai upaya untuk menciptakan bangunan sirkuit yang bisa menjadi identitas sirkuit. Dengan tujuan agar sirkuit bukan hanya menjadi fasilitas kegiatan pembalap tetapi bisa memberikan nilai lebih pada pengunjung yang bisa merasakan karakter pembalap, Secara keseluruhan sirkuit juga merespon permasalahan yang ada di site serta sekitar lingkungan sirkuit. Kata Kunci: Bengkulu Selatan, Transformasi, Karakter Pembalap, Sirkuit. ABSTRACT Bengkulu Selatan Regency is a part of Bengkulu Province, where Manna City is the center of government in Bengkulu Selatan Regency. In the city of Manna there is the Padang Panjang Circuit City of Manna which is the only permanent circuit in Bengkulu Province, so the potential to develop this circuit is huge. Almost every year there are always big national and regional racing events which are held at the Permanent Circuit of the city of Manna by regional and central IMI. The problem is that the circuit facilities are inadequate to accommodate every motor racing event, so that the race does not run optimally. The development of motor racing circuits is one of the solutions to support motor racing activities, so that the activities can run well, and make the city of Manna as an automotive activity center in Bengkulu Province. This circuit is also expected to reduce the occurrence of illegal racing activities on the streets that have been rife in the city of Manna. The application of the circuit design concept "with the Transformation of the Racer's Character into the visual form of the building" in an effort to create a circuit building that can become a circuit identity. With the aim that the circuit is not only a facility for racers but can provide more value to visitors who can feel the character of racers, the overall circuit also responds to problems that exist on the site and around the circuit environment.
