Abstract
ABSTRAK Kabupaten Brebes memiliki cukup banyak obyek wisata. Berdasarkan hasil dari kegiatan observasi dan survey lapangan dari tim peneliti Fakultas Geografi Universitas Gadjah Mada yang dilakukan pada tanggal 29-31 juli 2017, dapat diketahui bahwa terdapat 3 desa yang saat ini telah memanfaatkan adanya ekosistem mangrove sebagai kawasan wisata. Namun sangat ironis sekali potensi wisata tersebut belum dikelola secara maksimal disamping masih sangat kurangnya sarana dan prasarana dibidang pariwisata, ditambah dengan kondisinya saat ini yang sangat memprihatinkan, baik kondisi fisik, penataan, perawatan, maupun pengunjung. Oleh karena itu, salah satu upaya yang dalam dilakukan untuk memanfaatkan obyek wisata yang ada di Brebes perlu dilakukan model pengembangan wisata pendidikan yaitu menambah nilai manfaat suatu obyek wisata dari aspek pendidikan. Perencanaan Mangrove Edutourism Center yang dapat memiliki peran penting dalam pelestarian dan pembelajaran tentang ekosistem mangrove serta penguatan tata kelola konservasi lokal dan mata pencarian masyarakat yang berkelanjutan, dan dapat menarik wisatawan untul dating dan mendongkarak peningkatan pendapatan asli daerah (PAD). Konsep perancangan Mangrove Edotourism Center merupakan desain bangunan dan kawasan yang difungsikan sebagai tempat pembelajaran dan wisata mangrove yang berwawasan lingkungan dengan memanfaatkan alam sebagai daya tarik perancangan. Penerapan Arsitektur Tektonika pada desain juga dengan mementingkan 4 aspek tentang tektonika arsitektur yaitu, citra ruang, metoda struktur, pengolahan material local dan harmonis, serta Pemilihan sistem struktur harus mempertimbangakan beberapa aspek yaitu jenis tanah, kondisi iklim, dan kekuatan struktur Kata Kunci: Mangrove, Edutourism, Center, Arsitektur, Tektonika ABSTRACT Brebes Regency has quite a lot of tourism objects. Based on the results of observations and field surveys from the research team of the Faculty of Geography, Gadjah Mada University, which was conducted on 29-31 July 2017, it can be seen that there are 3 villages that currently use the mangrove ecosystem as a tourist area. However, it is very ironic that the tourism potential has not been managed optimally in addition to the very lack of facilities and infrastructure in the tourism sector, coupled with the current condition which is very apprehensive, both physical conditions, arrangement, maintenance, and visitors. Therefore, one of the efforts made to take advantage of tourism objects in Brebes, it is necessary to develop an educational tourism development model, namely adding to the value of the benefits of a tourism object from an educational aspect. Planning for the Mangrove Edutourism Center which can play an important role in the preservation and learning of mangrove ecosystems as well as strengthening local conservation governance and sustainable community livelihoods, and can attract tourists to come and encourage increased local income (PAD). The design concept of the Mangrove Edotourism Center is a building and area design that functions as a place for learning and tourism for mangroves with an environmental perspective by utilizing nature as a design attraction. The application of Tectonic Architecture in design also emphasizes 4 aspects of architectural tectonics, namely, spatial image, structural methods, local and harmonious material processing, and the selection of structural systems must consider several aspects, namely soil type, climatic conditions, and structural strength.
