Abstract
ABSTRAK Salah satu komoditi produk pertanian yang dijadikan unggulan Provinsi Kalimantan Barat adalah komoditi lidah buaya (Aloe Vera). Kualitas lidah buaya yang dihasilkan Pontianak disebut sebagai kualitas lidah buaya terbaik dari seluruh daerah Indonesia, karena kondisi tanah Pontianak yang berupa gambut dan iklim tropis Pontianak yang dilewati oleh garis Kathulistiwa sehingga Pontianak memiliki cuaca panas menjadi media yang tepat untuk Lidah Buaya tumbuh dengan subur. Berdirilah Aloe Vera Center Pontianak pada tahun 2002, sebagai pusat pembudidayaan tanaman lidah buaya yang berada di bawah pengawasan manajemen Pemerintah Kota Pontianak. Pembangunan kawasan ini merupakan hasil dari kerja sama antara Pemerintah Kota Pontianak dengan Badan Penelitian dan Pengembangan (Balitbang) Provinsi Kalimantan Barat, serta pasrtisipasi dari pihak Badan Pengkajian dan Penerapan Teknologi (BPPT) Serpong. Aloe Vera Center Pontianak telah berkembang sangat pesat dan berhasil berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD) Kota Pontianak. Namun beberapa tahun belakangan ini Aloe Vera Center Pontianak mulai menunjukkan produkifitas lidah buaya yang menurun akibat berkurangnya produsen sehingga berimbas ke ekonomi masyarakat sekitar yang mata pencahariannya sebagai petani lidah buaya akibatnya banyak Lidah Buaya yang menjadi busuk karena Aloe Vera Center juga belum mampu mengolah Lidah Buaya menjadi produk yang lebih bervariatif . Hal ini sangat disayangkan mengingat lidah buaya Pontianak adalah kualitas yang terbaik dari seluruh kota di Indonesia tetapi belum mampu untuk mengolah lidah buaya menjadi produk yang inovatif . Aloe Vera Center juga kurang dikenali oleh masyarakat dikarenakan kurangnya fasilitas yang bisa menarik masyarakat maupun wisatawan untuk mengunjungi Aloe Vera Center ini. Untuk itu, perancangan Aloe Vera Center ini mengacu pada pendekatan Eco Technology yang merupakan sebuah pendekatan desain dengan cara memperhatikan keseimbangan alam dan manusia yang tinggal di sekitarnya melalui penyediaan fasilitias yang bisa menciptakan interaksi sehat antar bangunan dengan alam tempat bangunan itu berdiri salah satunya dengan cara hemat energi dan memakai energi alam untuk menghidupkan fungsi di dalam bangunan serta memunculkan kembali aktivitas sosial yang semestinya terjadi di Aloe Vera Center. Konsep Eco Technology ini diterapkan pada pengolahan massa di tapak, struktur bangunan, sistem utilitas serta bentuk bangunannya. Kata kunci: Kota Pontianak,Aloe Vera Center,Eco Technology ABSTRACT One of the commodities of agricultural products which is used as the superior of West Kalimantan Province is the commodity of aloe vera (Aloe Vera). The quality of Aloe vera produced in Pontianak is said to be the best quality of aloe vera from all regions of Indonesia, because Pontianak's soil conditions are in the form of peat and the tropical climate of Pontianak which is passed by the equator so that Pontianak has hot weather which is the right medium for Aloe Vera to thrive. The Aloe Vera Center Pontianak was founded in 2002, as a center for aloe vera cultivation which is under the supervision of the management of the Pontianak City Government. The development of this area is the result of cooperation between the Pontianak City Government and the West Kalimantan Province Research and Development Agency (Balitbang), as well as the participation of the Serpong Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (BPPT). Aloe Vera Center Pontianak has grown very rapidly and has succeeded in contributing to increasing the Regional Original Income (PAD) of Pontianak City. However, in recent years the Aloe Vera Center Pontianak has begun to show decreased productivity of Aloe Vera due to reduced producers so that it has an impact on the economy of the surrounding community whose livelihoods are aloe vera farmers. As a result, a lot of Aloe Vera has become rotten because the Aloe Vera Center has not been able to process Aloe Vera into more varied products. This is very unfortunate considering Pontianak's aloe vera is the best quality out of all cities in Indonesia but has not been able to process aloe vera into an innovative product. The Aloe Vera Center is also less recognized by the public due to the lack of facilities that can attract people and tourists to visit the Aloe Vera Center. For this reason, the design of the Aloe Vera Center refers to the Eco Technology approach, which is a design approach by paying attention to the balance of nature and the people who live around it through the provision of facilities that can create healthy interactions between buildings and the nature where the building stands, one of which is economical way. energy and use natural energy to revive functions in the building and revive social activities that should occur at the Aloe Vera Center.
