Abstract

The development of information technology brings positive effects for helping humans to make work easier. In calculating the number of visitors in a tourist spot, the use of technology is necessary needed. Technology may provide automatic information for the manager to optimize the place and evaluate the attractiveness of several tourist areas. This tool used an ultrasonic sensor and an Android-based application, which were useful for counting the number of visitors who pass through the sensor at the entrance and exit gate, which then combined with an Android-based application. This study produced an automatic visitor counting tool and an Android-based application to help users to simplify their work and make it easier to calculate the number of visitors.
