Abstract
ABSTRACT Kana Komputer is a leading company in selling computer and its accessories in Yogyakarta. Inventory problems become important aspect in the process of selling computer. Thus, inventory process is an important thing to control inventory in Kana Komputer. This research is conducted to design an application for Goods Inventory Management System Using Android Based Barcode Scanner. The Inventory Management Application planning utilizes camera on a Smartphone as a tool to process Barcode Scanner during doing inventory to minimize mistake in inputting code number and fasten inventory activity process. The application is designed using Java programming language on Android Application and using server database to store all the data online, so that, the access can be anytime through internet connection or Wi-Fi. By designing Inventory Management Application, it is expected to be able to provide information in the form of data stock report and sales report in general. Moreover, it is expected to fasten the process, minimize error that could be happen in inputting code number and facilitate Kana Komputer’s employee to perform inventory process.
