Abstract
The development of technology is very rapid and it makes also the development of mobile phones. Many electronics industries are starting to produce mobile phones with their own brands. Therefore, many brands or brands and types of mobile phones are available in the market today. Many types and models of mobile phones make potential consumers confused in determining the smartphone they will buy. They like to have many criteria in the cell phone that they want, the processor, RAM (Random Access Memory), price or even the capacity of the battery. The purpose of this study is to produce a website-based information system application that can help provide solutions to prospective smartphone buyers in choosing the cell phone they want based on the criteria thay have. It may also provide information and recommendations to prospective cell phone buyers. The design method is done to design a system so that the data can be processed quickly and presented in the form of information so that it can speed up the data processing. Development of decision support system applications is carried out using a code igniter framework and using the AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) method. Therefore, the existence of this Decision Support System Application can help prospective mobile buyers to determine the cell phone that matches the criteria they want to choose. The results of this study can create information systems that can help provide solutions and or recommendations to potential smartphone buyers in determining which smartphone they will buy based on the specifications and criteria they specify.
