Abstract

Cirebon is one of the city in West Java which is rich of tourist attractions. The culture is still strong and the preserved historical relics make Cirebon one of the holiday destinations that are visited by local and foreign tourists. This brings out the business opportunity in the field of tourism bureau. One of many is TravelingCirebon. However, it is unfortunate that it dose not have information system to support it all from tourist information and reservation facility to facilitate travelers to look for information and book a tour package directly after interested in the information presented. TravelingCirebon needs a web-based tourism information system aiming to introduce the tourism objects in the city of Cirebon and reservation facilities that can be reached by the wider community. With the system that will be built hopefully can be used to maximize the existing system so that tourists can be facilitated well. It can also increase the interest of tourists to come to visit Cirebon with the information obtained. The existence of existing reservation facilities can facilitate tourists to enjoy a tour in the city of Cirebon. Researchers use System Usability Scale (SUS) testing to determine the value of a website's usability. The system used in this web-based tourist information system is to use the PHP programming language with the Codeigniter framework and the database using MySql. The result of this study is high usability (acceptable) in the range of 70 to 100 on the information system that has been built.
