Abstract

Semen Village is one of the villages located in Ngawi Regency. Most people in this village are rice farmers. One of the complaints and obstacles in the village is the water problem. Farmers must come to ignite, turn off or divert water from one paddy field to another. From this, a tool is needed to control the water pump and the water channel remotely and to monitor the pump and the water level of the paddy. The tool may also control the time to turn the pump on or off and the time to move water from channel to channel. Android-based rice field water control system using the concept of the Internet of Things is expected to be the initial solution to the problem. It will make more effective time required. Farmers do not have to come to the fields directly. In addition, the presentation of interface information in monitoring water level in the form of an android application using Kotlin language and using Firebase as a realtime database makes it very easy for farmers to access the application. The extent of Android smartphone causes almost everyone to possess and use Android applications. It is a top choice in any development that requires high mobility. Paddy water control devices that have been connected to the internet can be connected to an Android smartphone anywhere and anytime as long there is an internet network. Keywords: Controller, Internet of Things, Water, Farmers.
