Abstract

Employee selection is the first step in a company or agency that aims to obtain qualified and competent human resources (HR) who will serve and do all the work in an institution. The prospective employee selection process has two decisions, namely accepted and rejected. When an agency or company cannot determine an HR based on the criteria needed, it will certainly be very detrimental to an agency or company, especially the number of prospective employees who register will be troublesome in terms of calculation and determine competent HR that suits the required criteria. To minimize or overcome the problem, the author designs and builds a system to help the institution, especially the Regional Hospital (RSD) Gunung Jati in terms of selection of new employees. The development of this system is done by analyzing two methods, namely the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method with the Weighted Product (WP) method with predetermined criteria. These two methods will be compared to get a good and relevant method to be applied in the selection of new staff recruitment at Gunung Jati Hospital so that the human resources received are truly in accordance with the needs of the unit. The analysis is performed with the accuracy of each method referring to the original data owned by the institution. The results of the level of conformity or the percentage of the SAW method of 99.959996% with an accuracy value of 84% and WP method of 99.959992% with an accuracy value of 76%. Thus the SAW method is the most relevant method for solving the problem of selecting new employees. Keywords: Selection, Employee, SAW, WP, Human Resources
