Abstract

The cafe business is currently growing rapidly along with the development of social media and the increasing number of consumers’ demands. The selection of the best cafe requires several criteria that fit the tastes of consumers. One of the cafes expected by consumers is a cafe that can be visited by all ages ranging from olds, adults, teenagers and even children, so that people who want to go to the cafe with family can get comfort in the same place. Therefore, a cafe selection recommendation system is designed so that users can make the right choice according to their needs or desires. The method used is the simple additive weighting (SAW) method. This method is chosen because it is able to choose the best alternative from a number of alternatives. In this case the intended alternative is the selection of the best cafe based on the specified criteria. This system produces recommendations from cafes based on the desired criteria. This system is implemented with the java programming language, and MYSQL for the database. Keywords: cafes, Recommendation System, SAW Method
