Abstract

Kata Kunci : Frijlink, Meyer Peter Muller, Laju Sedimen, Sedimen dasar (bed load) ABSTRACT Sediment transport is a natural process that occurs continuously. This sediment can come from material transported from river water flow. It is also caused by erosion on the river bank. Material erosion into the river flow that can cause river siltation. Siltation of this river occurs if the sediment transport is large. Flow discharge is one of the factors that influence the amount of sediment load in the flow. The greater the flow rate, the more sediment will be involved. At the location of this study the flow velocity measurements were carried out using a current meter on the Gajah Wong River in Yogyakarta. This research was conducted by taking bed load samples at the location of study point one, because sediment samples at points one, two and three have the same characteristics. After taking the bed load, gradation testing was conducted at the Laboratory of Gajah Mada University, Yogyakarta. This test aims to determine the specific gravity, void ratio, porosity and grain size of the bed load. The method used to determine the bed load rate is Meyer Peter Muller and Frijlink. The results of the calculation of the flowrate in this flow at point one are Q1: 0.517 m3 / s, point two Q2: 0.469 m3 / s, point three Q3: 0.551 m3 / s. The results show that the bed load rate that occurs in this river flow is at point one: 22,673x10-3m3 / s / m, point two: 35,578x10-3m3 / s / m, at point three: 34,445x10-3 m3 / s / m for the Peter Muller Meyer method and for the Frijlink method getting results of 15,718x10-3m3 / s / m, colon two: 7.89 x10-3 m3 / s / m, point three: 9.66x10-3m3 / s / m.
