Abstract

ABSTRAK Beton merupakan suatu material konstruksi yang saat ini sangat umum digunakan. Berbagai upaya telah dilakukan guna memperoleh kemajuan dalam teknologi beton yakni penambahan bahan yang bertujuan mengurangi pemakaian semen agar lebih ekonomis, namun tidak menghilangkan sifat dari karakteristik beton itu sendiri. Dalam penilitian ini digunakan fly ash yang berasal dari pembakaran kulit jagung. sebagai bahan tambah guna menciptakan inovasi beton ramah lingkungan serta untuk mengetahui pengaruhnya terhadap kuat tekan beton. Kadar penambah yang digunakan adalah 4%, 5%, dan 6%. Penambahan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh fly ash kulit jagung terhadap kuat tekan beton pada beton normal dan beton yang ditambahkan superplasticizer. Pembuatan benda uji dilakukan di Batching Plant PT. Merak Jaya Beton , dengan umur 7 hari yang kemudian di konversi ke 28 hari.. Dari hasil pengujian kuat tekan beton didapatkan nilai rata rata sebesar 11,227 MPa untuk beton normal, untuk beton normal ditambah superplasticizer sebesar 20,75 MPA, untuk beton 4% sebesar 12,833 MPa, untuk beton 5% sebesar 12,173 MPa, dan untuk beton 6% sebesar 11,230 MPa. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa beton yang ditambahkan fly ash kulit jagung dan superplasticizer berpengaruh pada kuat tekan beton. Kata Kunci: Fly Ash, Superplasticizer, Kulit Jagung, Kuat Tekan Beton Abstract Concrete is a construction material that is currently very commonly used. Various attempts have been made to obtain advances in concrete technology, namely the addition of materials aimed at reducing the use of cement to make it more economical, but not eliminating the characteristics of the concrete itself. In this research, fly ash which was from burning corn husks was used as an added material in order to create environmentally friendly concrete innovations and to determine its effect on the compressive strength of concrete. The adjuvant levels used were 4%, 5%, and 6%. This addition aimed to determine the effect of corn husk fly ash on the compressive strength of concrete in normal concrete and concrete with a superplasticizer added. The manufacture of test objects was carried out at the Batching Plant of PT. Merak Jaya Beton, with an age of 7 days which is then converted to 28 days. From the results of the concrete compressive strength test, the average value was 11.227 MPa for normal concrete, for normal concrete plus a superplasticizer of 20.75 MPA, for concrete 4% of 12,833 MPa, for 5% concrete was 12,173 MPa, and for 6% concrete is 11,230 MPa. The test results showed that the concrete added with corn husk fly ash and superplasticizer had effects on the compressive strength of the concrete.
