Abstract
ABSTRAK Beton didefiniskan sebagai campuran dari bahan penyusun yang terdiri dari bahan hidrolik (portland cement), agregat kasar, agregat halus, dan air dengan atau tanpa menggunakan bahan tambah (admixture atau additive). Beton memiliki daya kuat tekan yang baik oleh karena itu beton banyak dipakai atau dipergunakan untuk pemilihan jenis struktur terutama struktur bangunan, jembatan dan jalan raya (SNI 2847:2013). Penelitian kali ini dilakukan untuk menguji pemanfaatan limbah kain perca dengan jumlah kadar 2% serta penambahan cangkang telur 7%, 8% dan 9% terhadap kuat tekan beton. Dengan metode penelitian ini akan digunakan perancangan ACI (American Concrete Institute) dengan umur beton 28 hari. Benda uji yang dibuat berbentuk silinder ukuran tinggi 30 cm dan diameter 15 cm dengan mutu beton yang direncanakan 25 MPa. Jumlah benda uji sebanyak 11 benda uji, 2 buah beton normal, 3 buah beton yang ditambahkan cangkang telur 7% dan kain perca 2%, 3 buah beton yang ditambahkan cangkang telur 8% dan kain perca 2% dan 3 buah beton yang ditambahkan cangkang telur 9% dan kain perca 2%. Pengujian dan pembuatan benda uji dilakukan pada Laboratorium Teknologi Bahan Universitas Teknologi Yogyakarta sedangkan untuk pengujian kuat tekan dilakukan di Laboratorium Mixing Plant CV. Akarmas Curva, di Kabupaten Wonosobo. Pada hasil pengujian slump didapatakan nilai slump beton normal 10 cm, sedangkan pada beton variasi cangkang telur 7%, 8% dan 9% mendapatkan hasil 11 cm,12 cm dan 11 cm. Dari hasil pengujian kuat tekan didapatkan nilai rata-rata kuat tekan beton normal diperoleh sebesar 25,56 MPa. Sedangkan untuk beton variasi cangakang telur 7%, 8% dan 9% memperoleh rata-rata kuat tekan 21,21 MPa; 20,76 MPa dan 19,86 MPa. Kuat tekan yang terjadi pada variasi cangkang telur 7%, 8%, 9% dan kain perca mengalami penurunan dari kuat tekan yang direncanakan. Kata kunci: beton, cangkang telur, kain perca Abstract Concrete is defined as a mixture of constituent materials consisting of hydraulic materials (portland cement), coarse aggregate, fine aggregate, and water with or without using additives (admixture or additive). Concrete has good compressive strength, therefore concrete is widely used or used for the selection of types of structures, especially structures for buildings, bridges, and roads (SNI 2847: 2013). This research was conducted to test the utilization of patchwork waste with a total content of 2% and the addition of eggshells 7%, 8% and 9% to the compressive strength of the concrete. This research method used the design of ACI (American Concrete Institute) with a concrete age of 28 days. The test object was made in the form of a cylinder with a height of 30 cm and a diameter of 15 cm with a planned concrete quality of 25 MPa. The number of specimens was 11 specimens, 2 normal concrete, 3 concrete pieces with 7% eggshell and 2% patchwork, 3 concrete pieces added with 8% egg shell and 2% patchwork and 3 concrete pieces added with egg shells 9% and 2% patchwork. Testing and manufacturing of specimens were carried out at the Laboratory of Material Technology, Yogyakarta University of Technology, while the compressive strength test was carried out at the Mixing Plant Laboratory of CV. Akarmas Curva, in Wonosobo Regency. For the slump test results, the normal concrete slump value was 10 cm, while the eggshell variations of 7%, 8% and 9% were obtained 11 cm, 12 cm and 11 cm. From the results of the compressive strength test, the average value of normal concrete compressive strength was 25.56 MPa. Whereas for eggshell variation concrete 7%, 8% and 9% obtained an average compressive strength of 21.21 MPa; 20.76 MPa and 19.86 MPa. The compressive strength that occurred in the eggshell variations was 7%, 8%, 9% and the patchwork decreased from the planned compressive strength. Key words: concrete, eggshells, patchwork
