Abstract
This study concerns about Phonological differences between Oma Long and Oma Lasan. The writers are interested in the subject, because of the uniqueness of the languages that are always used in everyday life of Dayak Kenyah especially Oma Long and Oma Lasan. The main purpose of this research is to know the similarity and differences of Phonology in Dayak Kenyah language especially Oma Long and Oma Lasan Language. This research has two objectives. The first one is to find the differences and similarities of phonology. The second is to find out what makes them different. The method of research in this study is qualitative research. The data were gathered from the conversation that were always used by Oma Long and Oma Lasan in Tanjung Selor. The object of this research was from the Phonology in Categories of Noun, Verb and Adjectives. The data of this research were in the form of phonology in Oma Long and Oma Lasan language. The results of this research show that the differences and similarities are not much. Historical factor made them change the phonology from each other’s between Oma Long and Oma Lasan language. It also made some word of Oma Long difficult to pronounce by Oma Lasan people. Keywords: Language, Oma Long, Oma Lasan, Phonology
