Abstract
This research was conducted at a shop engaged in the sale of shoes, the Maisy Shoes store. To meet customers every day the store already has an inventory storage warehouse, but the documentation that is used today is still simple by recording the inventory by looking directly at the items, and recording in the stock book that has been provided as a report to the leader. In this way there is often a difference between the stock of real goods and the recording of goods per month from the head office. In this company also has not applied a method to optimize the cost of inventory. This study designed an application that is capable of processing, documenting, calculating order transactions and storing inventory in warehouse. By applying the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method where companies can find out the amount of good inventory needed by the company at the most cost-efficient cost. Can also be known safety stock (safety stock) and the most appropriate time to hold a purchase (reorder point). The research method used is the waterfall method. The design of the inventory and sales system consists of data flow diagrams, entity relationship diagrams and interface designs. This system was built using web-based programming languages, namely PHP and MySQL as database servers. With this inventory information system, the company can carry out planning, procurement and supervision of inventory properly, besides that it can also produce reports that are accurate, precise and effective.
