Abstract

Diagnosis of diseases in children specifically in children under five years is very diverse. For some parents to determine the decision in a matter of earlier in children is very less, therefore to understand this disease from the cause caused requires an expert or expert doctor in understanding children's health. However, it is limited to consulting a number of experts such as, limited time and the number of queue volumes. For this reason, the aim of this research is to develop an expert system that can diagnose diseases diagnosed by children under five with the Forward Chaining method to facilitate parents in understanding the disease and its treatment solutions. The Forward Chaining method is one of the methods available in an expert system that is useful for decision outcomes. In this system will display a choice of questions from a number of questions asked answered by the user, where in each question raised by the system will show a determination that asks the next question to get the final result. The results of the determination of the questions that have been answered will produce conclusions that contain the illness, the disease information and its solution. The software used in making this system uses the programming language PHP and MySQL as its database. Keywords: Expert System, Diagnosis, Forward Chaining, Toddler
