Abstract
A library is an information system that contains the activities of collecting, processing, preserving, preserving and presenting and disseminating information. The library as it exists and is growing now has been used as one of the information centers, sources of knowledge, research, recreation, preservation of the nation's cultural treasures, as well as providing various other services. From the results of observations made, collection processing in general at the library of the University of Technology Yogyakarta, In fact already has a library application that already has an efficient system to input and read the library collection code (books, magazines, journals, etc.), as well as the attendance list of visitors the library. However, the application was made by a third party in the past, so there is a system damage that can not be overcome by the library staff of the University of Technology Yogyakarta. For the collection, the search for collections and book bookings by library staff and members can be done quickly. The purpose of the research conducted at UTY Library is to design the application of systems and databases to support the need for information on the process of absence and collection of library books in the library of Universitas Teknologi Yogyakarta. Methodology In the research process by directly observing the book borrowing process that took place in the UTY library, interviewed one of the employees to find valid information about the activities in detail at UTY library. The results of the research conducted in the form of android-based applications that can process book lending on mobile, know book information without coming to the library, and the library admin can do book management independently through the website that has been provided.
