Abstract
A shop is a closed place where trading activities occur with specific types of objects or goods, for example a bookstore, fruit shop, and so on. The Staple Food Shop is an individually owned business that was established in with the shop owner, Mr. Muhaimin. The store is located on Jl.Manisrenggo KM 3, Prambanan, Klaten, the process of recording sales and purchase transactions is still using the manual method, namely using paper media in the recording process, so that in managing the data collection of goods and transactions it allows errors and is less efficient, resulting in problems What often arises is that there are difficulties in accessing data, such as the difficulty of monitoring remaining goods, controlling the movement of inventory, as well as invalid recording of purchase data, sales data and inventory data, making it difficult for leaders to make decisions in terms of inventory and sales of goods. With this research, none other than building a sales and purchase information system with a client-server database at the Berkah Grocery Store so that it can make it easier for shop owners to manage data on goods and transactions. First, with this research, the Blessing Grocery Stores can use a system that has been created to assist the computerized buying and selling process at these stores to facilitate sales and purchase transactions. Both of these studies aim to help store owners to store information about incoming goods, sales transactions, purchases, sales returns, purchase returns and stock of goods in the store. The results of this study are in the form of a sales and purchase information system with a client-server database at the Berkah Grocery Store so that it can be used to fulfill sales activities at the store.
