Abstract

Making a Final Report with the title Web Service Design Using Representational State Transfer for Processing Goods Data has been carried out. The purpose of this final project is to produce a system and application that can manage goods data addressed to partners and build software, in this case REST, to integrate different applications between platforms by utilizing php functions. The research method used was to collect data including direct observation at the counter under the KFC UIN Yogyakarta building. Data processing methods include stock data, brands, categories, specifications, and prices. This study uses a web service to determine stock with web service support using Representational State Transfer to enable communication between the android mobile application and the web. Database design begins with using MySQL as data processor. Web-based information services are built using the PHP programming language and Web browser. From the observations and research conducted, it can be seen that REST API technology helps in the process of retrieving data from the server and allows data to be updated in real time. For example, changing stock items and implementing the REST API using the code igniter framework can display information to mobile applications.
