Abstract
Expert system is a system that uses human knowledge where it is incorporated into a computer and then used to solve problems that require human expertise. Currently in the development of technology making technology in the field of mobile phones compete in making the latest products. So mobile phone technology is now prone to damage. So expert system developers diagnose mobile phone damage to make it easier for users to get information about the damage. With the user's belief in experts, this system gives confidence value to users who have suffered mobile phone damage. The method used in this expert system is the Certainty Factor Method. Certainty Factor method has system performance that is able to run according to functional blindness and high accuracy percentage results. In addition, the Certainty Factor method can describe the level of confidence of an expert on the problem at hand. Based on the test results, 100% of the functionality of the mobile phone damage diagonosa expert system is running according to the list of system needs and the system has a 100% accuracy rate.
