Abstract

Disasters can happen anytime and anywhere. Disasters can also occur from various factors, namely natural disasters such as earthquakes and landslides, there are also disasters from user error such as fires and so on. Moreover, disasters that can occur in multi-storey buildings that do not meet standards in the construction and building sectors are very dangerous if they are not equipped with an alternative route for evacuation at the time of the disaster. Yogyakarta Technological University is one of the universities in Yogyakarta which has a multi-storey building structure that is used as a teaching and learning facility. These multi-storey buildings do not yet have evacuation routes to facilitate the evacuation process in the event of a disaster. To simplify the process of evacuating victims, an evacuation route and safe point are needed that are easily accessible to victims and rescuers. To calculate the distance of the closest evacuation route in this study the writer used the Djikstra algorithm. The evacuation route must be accompanied by a display facility, which is to provide a supportive route for evacuation routes that will make it easier for students, lecturers and staff in the Yogyakarta Technological University to save themselves from disasters.
