Abstract

Tobacco is one of the plantation commodities which is important in the development of the plantation sub-sector, among others, to meet domestic needs and as an export commodity for producing state visas. Therefore, the quality and quality of tobacco must be maintained. Grader is a person whose job is to classify tobacco in terms of color and smell. Tobacco itself, when viewed in terms of color, consists of several grades, namely grade A, grade B, grade C, and Grade D. Multilayer Perceptron is a development of the perceptron artificial neural network which aims to cover the limitations of the ability of the perceptron artificial neural network to perform logical operations. complex. Utilizing the Multilayer Perceptron algorithm to determine the quality of tobacco. In the multilayer perceptron algorithm there are 2 inputs, namely Hiden Layer and Epoch, the more the number of hid layers and epochs, the more accurate the data will be. Multilayer perceptrons are widely used for applications such as image recognition, speech recognition, mathematical modeling and others. The accuracy of this system can reach 70% if the configuration is right, and the time required for this system to process data is approximately 6 seconds.
