Abstract

Convolutional Neural Network is a machine learning method from the development of Multi Layer Perceptron (MLP) which is designed to process two-dimensional data. CNN is included in the type of Deep Neural Network because of its deep network level and is widely implemented in image data. Vehicle recognition plays an important role in the application of the Smart Transportation System, criminal investigation and so on. Its job is to recognize the type, color and number plate of the targeted vehicle. Color is one of the basic attributes of a vehicle. Therefore, color recognition plays an important role in vehicle recognition. CNN is widely used in classifications where the input data is in the form of images, in this study the CNN method is used for vehicle color classification. The results obtained are quite good, showing an accuracy of 76.94% in the training process. Keywords: Convolutional Neural Network, Transportation
