Abstract

This study analyzed the Carol’s Inner Conflicts in Carol the movie. There are two problems in this study: (1) kinds of inner conflicts, and (2) how Carol deals with her inner conflicts. This study used the objective theory, psychoanalysis theory, and qualitative research which focus on the inner conflicts undergone by Carol. The result of the research shows that there are 7 inner conflicts; fear, anxiety, dilemma, sexual deviation, give in, love conflict, and interpersonal conflict. The writer also found give in as Carol’s way to deal with her inner conflicts. Key words: give in, inner conflict, love conflict
