Abstract
This study entitled An Analysis of Slang Word Found in Fast and Furious 6 Movie is intended to identify the types of slang and the most dominant type of slang word in Fast and Furious 6 movie. This study belongs to a descriptive qualitative study. It does not use any statistical procedure, nor statistical calculation in the data analysis. The data are in forms of sentences, phrases, or words taken from Fast and Furious 6 movie. The result of this study shows that slangs found in Fast and Furious 6 movie belong to two types of slang word based on Eric Partridge’s theory (2004). There are a total of 72 slang words collected; 65 society slangs and 7 public house slangs. In this study, the writer also found that society slang is the most dominant type of slang word in this movie. Keywords: Slang, Partridge, Fast and Furious 6, Movie
