Abstract

ABSTRACT Projector units on the market from various vendors have different specifications, this makes it difficult for customers to choose and buy a projector that suits their wants and needs. The decision making algorithm is based on comparison criteria such as brand, lumens, contrast ratio, lamp life, projection size and price. So we need a system that can meet the shortcomings and constraints faced by customers. The purpose of designing this system is to select a projector so that customers can make the right choice according to their wants and needs. This system is designed using the Weighted Product (WP) algorithm which is quantitative in decision making, namely a method for determining a decision by multiplying it to connect the attribute rating that must be ranked first with the attribute weight in question. The design of this system is built using the PHP and HTML programming languages, while the database processing uses MySQL. The result of this research is a system to recommend a projector unit with a choice of criteria so that it helps customers in making decisions to rent or buy products available at the Kulon Progo Projector Center.
