Abstract
Kobayashi Patisserie & Boulangerie is a company engaged in the pastry, chocolate and bakery sector which was founded in December 2007 by Dewi Muryani Jusup. Kobayashi currently has 1 outlet on Jl. Magelang KM 1 No 54, Karangwaru, Tegalrejo, Yogyakarta City, Yogyakarta Special Region. Kobayashi Pattisserie & Boulangerie is always flooded with orders for cakes for special events or days, for example for birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, or other celebrations. Even with this background, the process of selling and ordering cakes at Kobayashi is still carried out in a conventional way, where customers come to the shop in person or contact the shop via WhatsApp to see the menu and order the cake they want, then take their order back to the shop when the order is finished. To solve the problem of ordering, a Web-Based Pre-Order System for Cake Sales was created. The method used in collecting the research data is using the method of observation, interviews, and literature study. As for the system design using the waterfall method. Implementation of the program code using the PHP programming language with the MySQL database management system. The expected result of this research is in the form of a web-based cake sales information system with a pre-order system which is expected to make it easy for customers who want to order cakes for Kobayashi Patisserie & Boulangerie.
