Abstract
ABSTRACT Ringga Rent Car is a company engaged in car rental in the city of Yogyakarta. The problem that occurs is the slow uncontrolled data processing process due to frequent errors in recording and errors in transaction calculations as well as the slow generation of reports. The research objective is to determine the system running, design, and implement a car rental information system in Ringga Rent Car. The research mechanism uses primary data collection methods carried out by means of observation, interviews, and secondary data collection. The method used in the development of this system uses a prototype technique. The system design modeling tool uses a structured model approach using flowmap tools, Context Diagrams, DFD (Data Flow Diagrams), Relationship Tables and ERD (Entity Relationship Diagram). The software used is PHP using the MySQL database. With the design of a car rental information system, it is hoped that it can help customers in choosing a car to rent and the admin or rental division in the process of renting and returning the car and making it easier for the admin to make reports.
