Abstract

Information technology is related to computerization where is personal computer becomes its main component. Information technology is used manage, procced, save, and manipulate data with several different ways to get relavant information. If we further relate the information technology with a small business like Maisy Sport, we may find a problem regarding to consumers buying pattern. The owner of Maisy Sport simply has no idea about the buying pattern of the custemers so that the selling pattern cannot be done differently. Here then the information technology takes apart to give a solution toward that problem. The solusition will be a research to build information system in selling transaction with apriori algorithm. The system will be used to manage the selling data with computerized pattern. Apriori algorithm is a market basket analysis algorithm which is used to create association rule with pattern “if then”. Market basket analysis is one of the techniques from mining data which identifies the customers way in buying products at the same time. The software used to support this are Delphi 2010 as the program language and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 as the Database Management System (DBMS). The research result shows that the system can be made and run successfully. Maisy Sport now has already had a solution regarding to the problem of managing customers data. With a computerized program, Maisy Sport Yogyakarta is now able to analysis the buying pattern of customers. The main function of that program is to know the strategy in selling the product by giving them promotion to increasethe number of selling.
