Abstract

ABSTRACT Quail is a type of poultry that produces high protein and low-fat eggs. It is a strong reason why many breeders choose quail as livestock. However, as livestock, quails are also prone to disease. Plus, there are many breeders, especially beginners, who lack knowledge. Artificial intelligence today has become one of the most sophisticated technological advances. One form of artificial intelligence is expert systems. Expert systems are designed to be able to think and solve a problem like an expert. Expert systems are used to help facilitate human life, one of which is animal husbandry. Timely inspection of livestock, especially poultry, is essential in order to maintain product quality. This study aims to create an application for a veterinarian replacement expert system. The work system of this application is based on input data to produce disease diagnoses and accurate solutions. It corresponds to the expert; with a user entering the symptoms that appear in the quail, the system will synchronize with the database. Based on the results of this study, the expert system application in the application produces a high level of accuracy, namely 90% based on the test results for 20 samples.
