Abstract
ABSTRACT Security is a vital part of daily life. It provides comfort and serenity for everyone so that they can carry out their daily routine properly. At this time, many crimes often occurred. One of them is theft in the home environment. Most people do their life activities outside the home. The study tries to provide a sense of security for homeowners against threats of theft and robbery. Solutions for homeowners must have a security system to protect and prevent things that homeowners do not desire, such as theft. In this research, a home security system with a QR code will be made using the ESP-32 Cam as a microcontroller and a camera to read the QR code expected to provide security compared to conventional keys. The test results were obtained as expected, and the ESP-32 Cam camera can read from a distance of 7 cm to 26 cm. Keywords: Security, Home, Theft, Robbery, ESP-32 Cam
