Abstract
ABSTRACT Yogyakarta Natural Resources Conservation Center is a Technical Implementing Unit in the field of conservation of living natural resources and their ecosystems that are under and responsible to the Director General of Natural Resources and Ecosystem Conservation, Ministry of Environment and Forestry, domiciled in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Employees are a very important resource for determining the success of a work unit. Efforts to improve the quality of performance of a civil servant include an increase in the rank of employees. Rank is a position that indicates the level of position of a person in the State Civil Apparatus. Promotion is an award given for work performance and service of the State Civil Apparatus. Data processing filing of promotion at the Natural Resources Conservation Agency is not currently computerized, so it is difficult to determine or know who will receive a promotion. Therefore a decision support system is needed to assist the staffing section in determining which employees will receive promotions. The results of this study are the decision support system to determine the promotion of employees using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method with the correct calculation process for each criterion in the standard parameters for promotion according to the weight determined by each agency so that the final results obtained will be immediately generate employee rankings according to the value of each employee. Based on system testing with manual calculations, the similarity level of the final result value is 98% with a ranking result of 100%.
