Abstract
ABSTRACT This study aims to help recommend a guitar to buy. Guitar specifications are the main things that will be discussed in this research. This system is needed so that purchases do not take a long time. This system can also help buyers find the best guitar with the desired specifications. This study also aims to implement a method that can recommend guitars based on predetermined criteria. In this study the authors used the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. The SAW method is a method used to find optimal alternatives from a number of alternatives with predetermined criteria. The SAW method, which is often known as the weighted addition method, requires the decision maker to determine the weight for each attribute or criteria to support the system. The data that needs to be entered into the system are guitar specification data such as price, type of guitar, guitar brand, guitar wood material, pick-up, and bodyshape. The output produced by the system is in the form of guitar recommendations that are closest to the criteria needed by the buyer. To build the system, this research uses the programming language PHP, HTML, Java Script and MySQL as the database. This research is expected to be used by buyers as a consideration before buying a guitar according to their needs. Keywords: Guitar, Recommendation System, Simple Additive Weighting Method
