Abstract
ABSTRACT Aneka Roti Shop is a business that is engaged in the sale of various types of bread. This Aneka bakery shop has several branches spread across the city of Yogyakarta. However, the absence of a database that is connected between the branch database and the central database which is integrated with each other and the differences in the bread data processing applications used by each branch bakery, causes the slow process of updating data from branch bakeries to central Aneka bakeries. In addition, the storage media on the database server is prone to problems. Therefore all data from the branches is stored in one central database. Distributed database systems are the solution to these problems. This system distributes data residing in a branch bakery database to a central bakery database. The distribution process is carried out periodically, for storage media in the central database using the replication method. This replication method allows the central database to the branch database not to be connected all the time. In this study, the database was distributed from the branch bakery to the central bakery via the internet network. Therefore, any data that is updated at each branch bakery will be distributed to the central bakery. So that the data in the branch bakery database is the same as the data in the central bakery database. Meanwhile, the data replication process is only carried out in the central bakery database. The research method used in this research is Extreme Programming. This enables active communication between the developer and the client. There are four stages in this method, namely planning, design, coding and testing. As well as the research and development method that is applied by conducting research from previous research and developing this research based on existing research. The purpose of this research is to make it easier for the central bakery to know all the data that is in each of its branch bakeries. So that the data processing distribution process between the branch bakery and the central bakery can be well integrated and the central database can be replicated to store all data on other storage media.
