Abstract

The number of erythrocytes can be measured by conventional means, but when erythrocytes are measured pretty much, it will take time. This causes conventional measurements are sometimes less accurate when done observation and observation resulting in erythrocytes is strongly influenced by the level of accuracy physician who analyzed. The purpose of this research is to build an application that can be used to calculate the number of erythrocytes of patients using Counting Improved Morphology in order to simplify the calculation process. From the above problems formulation of the problem is how to design and build systems to implement digital image processing algorithms using improved counting morphology. With the computer calculation is expected to be useful to calculate the number of erythrocytes and how to build a system to perform calculations erythrocytes. The results of this system is able to calculate the number of erythrocytes using Counting Improved Morphology by processing the image of erythrocytes that have been taken using a digital camera. The system is able to determine the number of erythrocytes with an average percentage of 70.04% of the test results calculation using applications when compared to manual counting.
